Buhari Not Arrested, See The Real Story Behind His Arrest in London

A video has surfaced on the internet, showing Nigeria's main opposition part, APC, candidate, for the 2015 presidential election, General Muhammadu Buahri, being taken in to a Black Maria Police van in London.

The arrest was after his press address at Chatham House, Human Rights Lawyer, Festus Keyamo was one of the followers who went into the van with Buhari.

What actually happened was that, some paid APC protesters in Chatahm House booed Buhari after his speech affirming he was ready to continue with the scuffle for power.

In the video, one of the protesters was heard shouting, "take pictures" "take pictures", persuading other protesters to ensure images of Buhari was captured before he was whisked away by police.

The video surfaced after Buhari's controversial trip to the United Kingdom.

It was learnt that Buhari arrived at the venue of the event in the company of some prominent APC supporters including former Lagos governor, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the party’s national chairman John Odigie Oyegun, Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State and Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State as well as former Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi.

However, things took a new turn when some apparently angry persons tried to stone him outside the venue.

But for the timely intervention of some security personnel who whisked him into a police van, Buhari would have been lynched by the raging crowd believed to be Nigerians.

From the footage released recently, one of the protesters was heard urging someone to ‘snap the picture’ of the embarrassment which they put the man through.
