Governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fashola, has held President Goodluck
Jonathan, responsible for the death of three policemen and civilians
during an armed robbery around Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge.
The robbery occurred on Thursday, March 12, when the policemen engaged in a firefight, armed men that went to rob a First City Monument Bank in Lekki, Lagos.
According to Fashola, the President’s planned visit to Lagos led to the low number of available policemen on hand to take on the armed robbers.

During the event, the governor said: “.Because Jonathan was coming to Lagos, all the vehicles and police in Lagos were sent to be on standby for him, and there was no available not enough to stop the robbery at Ikoyi-Lekki link bridge.”
