Following the March 28 presidential election loss of the incumbent
President Goodluck Jonathan, a mild drama is happening at the Aso Rock
Presidential Villa, Abuja.
No official activities, offices shut down.
Daily
Trust reports that hours after the announcement of the election
results, official activities are yet to pick up at the Presidential
Villa.
It was said that the offices of Vice President, Mohammed
Namadi Sambo and that of First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan were under
lock and key as at the time of filing this report on Wednesday
afternoon.
Daily Trust correspondent reported that although
President Jonathan was in his office, but none of his ministers were
seen at the State House, adding that the weekly Federal Executive
Council (FEC) meeting did not hold.
It was further reported that many of the aides to Mr. President were also nowhere to be found at the seat of power.
The
only people sighted at the State House comprised Comptroller-General of
Customs Dikko Inde Abdullah, Director-General of the Bureau of Public
Procurement (BPP) Emeka Ezeh, Executive Secretary of the National
Christian Pilgrims Commission John Kennedy Opara as well as the Special
Adviser to the President on Ethics and Values, Sarah Jubril.
