Friday morning, during a Television interview show on TV Continental, Lepacious Bose blasted Olamide and other Nigerian musicians on their choice of words they put into their music.

She said, Nigerian musicians must also embrace change by changing the kind of songs they sing, she asked them to stop using foul words in their songs if they truly want to be agents of change.

Lepacious Bose told the audience during “Your Views” 2nd year anniversary show titled: “Embracing Change”. She said she was disappointed at the kind of song Olamide performed during the swearing-in ceremony for the new Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

Change is a new slogan in the Nigeria environment since the new government came into office about a week ago, under the Nigerians largest political party, APC, with their “change” slogan.

According to Lepacious Bose, when Olamide was invited to perform at the inauguration ceremony of the Lagos State Governor, Olamide used foul languages in the song he performed, she quoted words like.. “Mo ti mu dongoyaro, moti fa claro” translated in English means… “I am high on spirit and weeds”

Olamide is a leading Nigerian rap artiste, popular for his rap-style, using Yoruba slogans.

Lepacious Bose questioned why Olamide was invited to a ceremony of such great importance with very important people in attendance, and he chooses to sing a song of that manner when he could have performed something more dignifying and meaningful.

She advised Nigerian musicians to be part of the “change” that is being currently preached in the country, so the country would move forward.

Various speakers were invited to talk on the subject change.
