Confusion In Jigawa APC As Abubakar’s Cabinet May Include ‘Lamido Boys’
Barely three months after it took over the mantle of leadership in Jigawa State, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has been thrown into confusion following an alleged pact surreptitiously signed by the state governor, Badaru Abubakar to include supporters of the former state governor, Sule Lamido in his cabinet.
Report gathered from the state revealed that, many members of APC in the state are now jittery over the alleged agreement which seems to compromise their hard earned victory over PDP in the last general election.
Some of the aggrieved APC members have already started threatening to dump the party while others plan to form opposition block within the party to express their grievances over what they termed as “surrendering their mandate to PDP for personal interest”.
Speaking to LEADERSHIP one of the APC stalwarts who pleaded anonymity expressed worry over the way the governor was alleged to have been romancing members of opposition PDP, particularly top officials of the immediate past government, describing the development as very alarming to the unity and success of APC in the state.
The APC members also faulted Governor Abubakar over alleged involvement in activities that may disintegrate the party and also bring down his government.
