Bruce Willis
Walter Bruce Willis is a German- American actor, producer, and musician. He was born on March 19, 1995 in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany to David Willis and American soldier and Marlene K. Willis a German, a bank worker.
He is the co-founder of Planet Hollywood with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. Bruce Willis owns several businesses in Hailey, Idaho, including The Mint Bar and The Liberty Theater.
He owns property in Los Angeles, rents an apartment in the Trump Tower in New York City and Trump Place, as well as a home in Malibu, California, a ranch in Montana, a beach home on Parrot city in Turks and Caicos and multiple properties in Sun Valley, Idaho.
Bruce Willis attended Penn’s Grove High School in his hometown where he began performing on stage. He picked up interest in dramatic arts in High School and worked after school hours as a security guard at Salem Nuclear Power Plant. He left school in his Junior year and moved to New York City, where he started to support himself as a bartender at the West 19th street art bar Kanikaze.
After countless auditions, Willis was casted in “Heaven and Earth”, and later “Fool for Love”, he played a lead role in the “Bull pen for four years”.
He later moved to California and auditioned for several TV shows and in 1984; he appeared on TV series Miami Vice. In 1985 he was a guest actor in first episode of “The Twilight Zone” TV series.
After so many auditions, Willis contributed minor film appearances before landing the role of private detective, “David Addison” alongside Cybill Shepherd in TV series “Moonlighting” in 1985 beating 3000 actors to audition for the role.
He was hired by Seagram as the pitchman for their Golden Wine Cooler products which earned him between $5-7 million over two years.
He got his first movie role in 1987 in “Blind Date” with Kim Basinger and John Larroquette, he was cowboy actor, Tom Mix in “Sunset” movie shot in 1988.
“Die Hard” in 1988 took Bruce to the class of stars. The film grossed $138,708,852 worldwide.
He was a supporting actor in the drama, “In County”; he also provided the voice of a talking baby in “Look Who’s Talking” and “Its Sequel”, “Look Who’s Talking Too”
Bruce Willis recorded a pop-blues album titled, “The Return of Bruno” with hit track, “Respect Yourself”.
In 1990 he was reprised in the role of a tough cop, “John Miclane” in Die Hard 2, “Die Harder” and “Die Hard with a Vengeance” in 1995. The Die Hard series grossed USD700 million internationally.
Bruce Willis was ranked first in Hollywood action stars following his achievements in the “Die Hard” series.
He was the Executive Producer of the cartoon “Bruno the kid” which featured a CGI representation of him in 1995.
In 2000 Willis, with his business partner Arnold Rifkin started a motion production company called Cheyenne Enterprise which he left in 2007 for Rifkin to run.
He met actress Demi Moore during the premiere for the film “Stakeout” and they married on November 21, 1987.
He has three daughters; Rumer Willis (24), Scout LaRue Willis (21) and Tallulah Belle Willis (18).
He divorced Demi Moore on October 18, 2000, and she later married Ashton Kutcher and Bruce Willis attended their wedding.
He was later engaged to actress Brooke Burns in 2004 but they broke up ten months after. He later married model, Emma Heming on March 21, 2009 and they have a daughter, Mabel Ray Willis born in 2012.
