INEC's Declaration on Bayelsa Election Result Has Vindicated Me- Faleke
Category: Kogi News
The running mate to late Audu Abubakar, Kogi State governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, Hon. James Faleke, has said the declaration of Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State as governor on Sunday vindicated his stance that the Independent National Electoral Commission was wrong to have declared the November 21 Kogi governorship poll as inconclusive.
In a series of tweets on his official Twitter handle on Monday, he insisted that INEC was wrong not to have declared Audu as the winner of the election on the night the first results were released.
Faleke, who is representing Ikeja constituency 2 in the House of Representatives, said there was nothing different in what transpired in Kogi and Bayelsa states.

The lawmaker, who is now in court, said, “What happened in Bayelsa further attests to the fact that INEC’s decision to have declared the November 21 Kogi governorship election as inconclusive was an error.
“I have been vindicated by what happened in Bayelsa. What is applicable in Bayelsa is applicable in Kogi. We are all guided by the same constitution of Nigeria.”
