Fuel Tanker Catches Fire at a Filling Station in Ire, Osun State (Photos)

A tanker filled with Premium Motor Spirit caught fire some hours ago in Iree, Osun State. According to an eyewitness, a fuel tanker which contained 33,000 liters of petrol caught fire in the process of transferring the fuel from the tanker into the underground tank at a filling station – Amolek Nigeria Limited at Poly Junction. The tanker driver who noticed the fire first, alerted people and ran from the tanker. The fire reportedly raged on for hours and burnt ten nearby shops.
Thankfully, no life was lost.
