Aisha Wakil, Nigerian lawyer and alleged negotiator for Boko Haram
sect who turned herself in to security operatives after being declared wanted by the Nigerian
military, has been released.
Aisha Wakil on Monday morning gave herself into to the security operatives at the Defence Headquarters for interrogations, in less than 24 hours after the Nigerian Army put out a statement declaring her wanted on allegations of aiding the sect.

Wakil was later transferred to the State Security Service headquarters in Abuja on
Tuesday, from where she was allowed to go home Wednesday night without
charges, sources said. According to sources Wakil was well treated by the
Nigerian security operatives while she was in their facility.
