Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Governor of Kano State
with members of the state executive council and other top government
officials attended a special prayer session to mark Nigeria's 56th
Independence and the New Islamic year of 1438 after Hijrah.
The
special prayer which took place after the Friday prayers was lead by
the Chief Imam of the Government House Mosque.
