Katsina Assembly Impeach Speaker, Chief Whip

Katsina State House of Assembly, yesterday impeached its Speaker, Aliyu Muduru. He was impeached by the two-thirds majority of the house members and a new Speaker, Alhaji Yahaya Kusada, was immediately elected to replace him.

Also impeached was the chief whip of the legislature, Alhaji Bashir Dutsinma, who was also immediately replaced by Alhaji Nasir Yahaya from Daura constituency.

No reason was given for their impeachment. Hopefully this won’t lead to another chaos.
