Danfo Driver Sentenced to One Year Imprisonment For Stabbing LASTMA Official
A danfo driver, Kenneth Anyanwu who stabbed a Lastma official, Olanrewaju
Yusuf on April 26, 2018 in Lagos has been brought before a mobile court
in oshodi. Anyanwu was said to have been picking passengers at undesignated
bus stops between Obanikoro and Palm Grove when Olanrewaju tried to arrest him
for his wrong doing. He frowned at him, picked up a broken bottle and stabbed
him in his palm.
Anyanwu was later arrested. The magistrate however sentenced him to one year in prison but gave him an option of fine of N50,000. The magistrate also asked him to poay N80,000 for Olanrewaju's hospital bills.
