No Igala Nominated For The North-Central Geo-Political Zone For Confab
Some Igala group in Kogi have agitated that the nomination of 15 people for the
north-central geo-political zone, where an Igala-man was not nominated for the
National Confab is unfair as the Igala people have greatly contributed to the
politics of the zone and the country in large.

The Igalas who are believed to cover an area of about 13,665 square
kilometers, with a population of about two million people believe that an
Igala should be nominated to represent the area in the Geo-political zoning
for the national confab.
An Ebira, Tiv, and Idoma representatives were nominated to represent the
Geo-political zone during the national confab which is scheduled to begin
later in March.

President Goodluck Jonathan released a list of 492 delegates to represent
each interest groups and geo-politcal zones in the country for the National
Confab.
