Architect Awoniyi Appointed to Head Committee on Okun Oppressed People
The Deputy Governor of Kogi state Architect Yomi Awoniyi has been appointed to
head a committee to look into the various areas of oppression raised by Okun
speaking people from Kogi West.
Governor Idris Wada made this known when Okun Development Association led by
the former Minister of Health, Prof. Eyitayo Lambo and other prominent people
from the area paid him a courtesy visit on Tuesday at Government House Lokoja.
Captain Wada noted that all segments of the state irrespective of tribe, religion and political differences would be carried along
under his administration in terms of distribution of available resources for
developmental purposes.
He stressed that his aim is to turn around the living condition of the people of the state for the best and urged the various ethnic groups in the state to join hands with his administration's effort to move the state to where it ought to be faster.
