Construction Work Begins on Otokiti-Ganaja By-Pass Road

The flagging off of the construction work on the 16-km Otokiti-Ganaja
by pass road was no doubt a joyous moment for the people of Kogi State
as residents expressed happiness over the development.
Kogi State
governor, Captain Idris Wada when flagging off the road project said
that it was in fulfillment of his campaign promises to the people.
Governor Wada noted that his administration’s decision to construct
roads linking villages, local government and other major towns in the state is geared towards opening up the state to economic opportunities and woo investors.
The commencement of work on the Otokiti-Ganaja road bye pass, governor
Wada said will not only open up the state capital to the eastern flank
but will certainly open up the town to more opportunities and
development while helping the people in the region to have easier access
to towns.
The governor’s road development policy is a deliberate and strategic one because good road network is an important complement to improved transport system. It is also indispensable for the transportation of goods and services from the rural areas to the major markets and to also enhance social interaction between the citizens and people from other parts of the country.
