"I Have Information On Abducted Girls" - Gov Shettima.
Category: Boko Haram News
Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima says he has information on the
whereabouts of about 200 schoolgirls kidnapped by Islamist group Boko
Haram.
The Governor said he had passed reports of the sightings of the girls to the military for verification.
Shettima added that he did not think the girls had been taken across the border to Chad or Cameroon.
Earlier, France’s president offered to host a summit on Boko Haram, reports the BBC.
“I suggested, with Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, a meeting of Nigeria’s neighbouring countries” Francois Hollande said.
“If the countries agree, it should take place next Saturday” he added.
Countries neighbouring Nigeria, such as Cameroon, Niger and Chad, would be invited to the security summit.
Aides said the US, UK and EU would also be likely to attend.
The US, UK and France have already pledged technical assistance to the Nigerian government.

As a Nigerian, I'll wish to advise the international community willing to come to Nigeria in response to the socio-political dilemma of the country to package amongst their intervention team: Human right groups. Precedencial facts indicates that the Nigerian government is more willing to intensify than mitigate the social tragedy befalling the country at 'monumental butterfly effect'. The government is right and the individuals are rightless; thus amounting to what is termed 'blaming the victim' and 'shouting wolf as a propaganda'. Democracy rejects totalitarianism by negotiating with its mentors. Even if we may not 'strike concensus with terrorist', recent trends indicates that there is a need to adopt the medical physician's classical approach to finding the root cause in a moral way. Self, ego and propaganda are the vices in our game!
ReplyDeleteTo emphasize, let me make this call to my brother, Mr. Obama whom I know has the patience and empathy to listen to me. As the U. S. President, my begging resquest is when you're deploying any contingent to Nigeria; please include as a priority amongst the items and agend the realisation of a replica of the American declaration of Human rights to Nigeria. My bottom line please, thanks.
