Kogi To Commence E-Governance
The Kogi state governor, Capt Idris Wada, has charged civil servants in the
state to be computer literate so as to fit into the e-governance which will
commence soon in the state.
The Eagle-Soaring Capt stated this at the weekend when the management of
Cyber Space Limited donated a 32-seater bus to the Kogi state
polytechnic.
“We have already commenced e-payment so I advised you to be computer literate so that by the time we start e-governance you will be able to send memo through the internet. You can do this through the polytechnic and cyber space,” he said.
Wada, who commended Cyberspace for partnering with the state polytechnic,
said his administration is committed to improving education in the state as
it will enhance his transformation agenda.
Earlier, the Managing Director, Cyberspace, Stanley Odua, said the donation was part of the company’s social responsibility to the institution as a result of the partnership.
He said the bus would help to solve transportation problem experienced by students and teachers while moving from the main campus to Osara campus, assuring of total commitment to solving internet problems of the institution.
This is another huge step towards efficient, diligent and effective civil service in the state by the Capt Idris Wada led government.
