Three Killed As Car Bomb Blasts Lagos Oil Depot
Three persons were allegedly killed, buildings destroyed when a car
suspected to be laden with bombs exploded at Folawiyo fuel depot in Apapa,
Lagos, this evening.
Several reports said the blast occurred when workers had left their offices.
One witness said though he had left the office before the blast, he was
called and told about it and that it shattered his office.
Another report from The Cable said ‘three persons were killed in front of Folawiyo fuel depot (also called tank farm), located on Creek Road – the same street with THISDAY newspaper – as a result of the explosion. It is yet to be officially confirmed if the blast occurred from a bomb attack but a witness at the scene said emphatically: “It is a bomb. The police anti-bomb squad are on their way here.
