An explosion has rocked the Kasuwan Kuturu market in Mubi area of Adamawa State, on Wednesday, June 25.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. John Abakasanga, confirmed the incident, said the explosion was targeted at a police patrol team.

The Mubi explosion follows similar bombings in Kano, Borno, Yobe, Benue and other states all happening the last month, killing scores of people.
On 14 May 2013, President Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency in Adamawa State, along with neighboring Borno State and Yobe State, due to the activities of Boko Haram militants.
