Category: Sports News
The Super Eagles coach has revealed that insecurity in the North-East of Nigeria affects the focus of his players.
The Nigerian team Big Boss made this known in the interview with ESPN ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which kicks off on June 12.
According to Keshi, some players have relatives and friends in the troubled regions, thus they worry about their safety.
The victorious coach, who on Monday announced the final 23-man squad for the tournament, was quoted saying by FC Naija:
"Directly the crisis is not affecting us but indirectly it is affecting us because some of us have relatives in the affected areas and we are constantly worried for their safety. However, we have a duty to our country and we will not allow the security situation affect our preparation."
