UNILAG Student Shot By Suspected Cultists Survives



A student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) who has been shot in the head by suspected cultists during an attack on Monday, July 7, is stable and recuperating at hospital.

According to the UNILAG Dean of Students’ Affairs, Prof. Olukayode Amund, the wounded student, Sapara, is now recovering in LUTH after the attack.

Prof. Olukayode Amund stated that this incidence is being investigated in collaboration with the police to find out the perpetrators.

The activities at the UNILAG are now back on track since the attack.

Sapara, a final year student at the department of Philosophy, was immediately rushed to the hospital after he was shot in the head when gunmen suspected to be cultists invaded UNILAG.

According to eyewitnesses, when the attackers shot at Sapara at the head from a moving car the other students fled to safety. However, the immediate actions were taken to save Sapara’s life.
