The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a woman, Ms Patience Aaron, for attempting to kill her new born baby
girl. Punch reports that Aaron, an indigene of Afaha Abia village, in
the Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of the state, on September 14,
buried her one-day baby alive.

The state police detective on September14, 2014 arrested one Patience Aaron of Afaha Abia village in the Nsit Ibom LGA for attempting to kill the baby girl she gave birth to.“Patience buried her one-day-old baby in a shallow grave. The baby was rescued alive. Investigation is in progress,”The CP, however, added that she was seriously ill and had been taken to a hospital for treatment.
