It was a shocking scene at World Bank Estate, New
Owerri; outskirts of the state capital where a new born baby was found strangled and dumped at the major dumpster in
the area.
From the way the corpse of the baby looked, it must have been dumped by the attackers, who had likely strangled it, before dumping at the site.
The decomposing body caught passersby attention, and different people could be seen around, including market people who discussed about the gory scene. It also caused traffic hold-up for the early
morning road users. Policemen who were spotted near the scene
controlling traffic and observing people having a look at the abandoned
baby, according to our source, could not utter a word when approached for comments.
A closer look showed that the baby may have been strangled to death before being thrown in the dumpster.
