Fire Guts Agodi-gate Market
A mid night inferno at the metals section of the popular Agodi gate Spare parts
market in the Ibadan metropolis has destroyed properties running into billions
of Naira.
The fire which started late Friday night blazed all night leaving traders out of business.
It is still unclear what actual cause of the inferno destroyed buildings as well as machinery is. Traders and shop owners could do nothing to stop the fire and put out the flames.
They are however calling on government at all levels to come to their aid as the fire incident had deprived them of their source of livelihood.
Reports indicated that fire fighters were unable to gain access to the area due to inaccessibility of the roads which is not properly planned.
Some traders are reportedly are back to ground zero, and are seeking for assistance from respected authorities to get back on the feet
The Araromi Spare parts market is located at the Agodi gate area of Ibadan, it is said to be one of the largest market in Nigeria’s Pace setter state.
