At least 9 people were killed during a gun battle
between militants and the Nigerian military in Bori village in
Rivers state yesterday February 23rd. Residents of the village told reporters that the military were on a revenge mission following the killing of some
military men by militants in the village on Monday February 22nd.
Bori village had become restive since Sunday
after some militants burnt down the campaign office of Senator Magnus
Abe who was accused of working against one of their former leaders
popularly known as Solomon Ndigbara aka Solo.
