Angry Youths Behead Woman in Kano over Blasphemy
The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the death of a woman, who was beheaded by angry Muslim youths in Wambai Market Kano yesterday evening, for allegedly blaspheming Prophet Muhammad.
The woman said to be from Igbo extraction, who sells plastics at the local market was beheaded in the presence of her husband who who have also beheaded if not for the timely intervention of the police.
The spokesperson of the Kano Police Command, DSP Musa Magaji, while confirming the incident said;
'At about 4 30 pm, there was a disagreement between the murdered woman and some traders bordering on religion. The woman was said to have blasphemed Prophet Mohammed, which did not go down well with the mob". He added that timely intervention by the police prevented the husband of the woman from being beheaded as well.
