Court Remands Ex-Adamawa Gov, Fintiri In Kuje Prison

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered that former Governor of
Adamawa State, Adamu Umaru Fintiri be remanded in Kuje prison, Abuja.
His remand order was made by Justice Ahmed Mohammed shortly after Fintiri was arraigned on a five-count charge of money laundering.
Fintiri is accused, in the charge marked: FHC/ABJ/CB/CB/131/2016, of engaging in money laundering activities involving a cumulative sum of over N1billion. Although Fintiri pleaded not guilty to the charge, he is to remain in prison custody until Friday when the court will rule of his bail application.
