Turkey President Declares 3 Months State Of Emergency After Failed Coup

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared a 3-month state of emergency in an effort to take swift action against the coup.

President Erdogan made the announcement this evening where he also claimed the threat of a coup was not over.

According to reports, all through the night of July 15, terrified Turks in Istanbul and Ankara listened to sporadic gunfire, explosions and the sonic booms of low-flying jets over their apartment blocks, rattling buildings and blowing out windows.
