Jay Z Addresses Child Rumour, Says, 'The Kid Ain't Mine'
His marriage is often lived in the glare of the spotlight. And, as a
result, Jay Z 's relationship with Beyonce Knowles is frequently the
subject of eyebrow-raising rumours - most of which go unacknowledged.
But Jay Z has finally addressed a very persistent whisper that he fathered a secret love-child with another woman.
Specifically, its long been claimed that he's the biological dad of aspiring rapper Rymir Satterthwaite.
Now, keen to rubbish the gossip, Jay Z has finally hit-back on new album, Everything Is Love, which was unleashed yesterday.
Using the track Heard About Us, he pulls no punches in tackling the claims, which have dogged the chart-topper for two years.
"Billie Jean in his prime," he raps. "For the thousand time, the kid ain't mine."
"Online they call me Dad, kiddingly. You're not supposed to take this Dad thing literally".
It comes just weeks after 24-year-old Rymir demanded a paternity test from the million-selling superstar.
He told The Sun : “I don’t want money or anything like that from Jay-Z. I just want him to finally tell the truth to the world.
“He’s supposed to be a positive role model for our community - he stands there screaming ‘Black Lives Matter’ - well tell the truth and take responsibility."
Not that it's the album's only song to get personal, of course.
In the opening track Summer he details how success has given his family a better - and safer - lifestyle.
"I remember summer nights in the projects," he raps. "Bullet rounds interrupting my Chi. When the worst thing that could happen.
"Zipped up his jacket and ran back down the street. In Bel-Air only the nights get cold, I wrapped a yellow jacket around Bey
"It's not lost on me, music has my kids sound asleep".
