SARS: Officers Kill Student; Youths inturn urn Down Police Station
A student of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Babtunde Nafiu died last night around Ajangbala in Iwo town. According to an
eyewitness, they were out there around 9pm yesterday looking for a bike
to take them home, before SARS men allegedly attacked them and shot
Babatunde. He died at this spot.
His friends and co-students have taken to Facebook to mourn him. The
police man who allegedly fired the shot is named as Gbadamosi Lukman,
aka Radical.
Meanwhile, irate youths in Iwo, Osun State, have set a police station ablaze in the
town for the alleged shooting of an undergraduate, Babatunde Nofiu, by
an officer attached to the Special Anti Robbery Squad.
Punch gathered that the student who was going to Iwo from Olupona was
shot dead on Thursday night and the incident led to a protest this
morning. The youths of the town gathered and set ablaze the police
station.
