Ginger is a flowering plant whose rhizome, ginger root or ginger, is widely
used as a spice and a folk medicine. It is a herbaceous perennial which grows
annual pseudo-stems about a meter tall bearing narrow leaf blades. Ginger is
closely related to turmeric
It has several health benefits, however for the purpose of this study, we will
highlight 11 of such health benefits;
1. Ginger Contains Gingerol, a medicinal component; has a long history of use in various forms of traditional/alternative medicine. It has been used to help digestion, reduce nausea and help fight the flu and common cold. Gingerol is also a bio-active compound responsible for much of its medicinal properties. It is used for anti-inflammatory and antioxidant purposes.
