TRAGEDY! Woman Reportedly Loses 5 Children In Lagos School Building Collapse (Photos)
A Twitter user has revealed that a woman lost 5 children in the school building that collapsed in Ita-Faji, Lagos Island earlier today.
Meanwhile, 19 persons including seven school pupils and 12 adults, have been rescued from the three-storey building that collapsed in the Ita-Faji area of Lagos Island today Wednesday March 13th.
Rescue operations spearheaded by men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) are still ongoing while the police and other security operatives are monitoring the security situation at the scene.
Over 100 pupils were said to be in the building when it collapsed. The cause of the collapse is still unknown. Efforts are still ongoing to rescue as many students alive as possible.
Governor Ambode while visiting the incident scene, said the building is over thirty years old.
