Prayer Power (Job 14:7-8)

Thank God for that scripture; it is likened to a tree that has dried up and has stopped producing fruit. But as we worship Him, a fresh pipe is now attached to the tree and water is supply and the tree that was just dry suddenly began to produce and I saw flourishing.
Job 14:7 “Even a tree has more hope! If it is cut down, it will sprout again and grow new branches. Though its roots have grown old in the earth and its stump decays, at the scent of water it will bud and sprout again like a new seedling.”
It was this scent of water that I saw that was now re-connected to that dyeing tree and now that tree will sprout again in the name of Jesus Christ to produce fruit again, halleluiah!
And that’s what happens whenever we worship God. I know sometimes when we worship God in church, some of us maybe tired, maybe you don’t know the songs. Anytime you are in church like that and those songs are going on and you don’t know it; just stay, talk to your God but in the atmosphere, there is a cloud; a cloud moving and then you don’t want to miss your portion. Things happens, spiritual things happen, deliverance, healing, things that you don’t even know, until you get home, the next day you notice some new things happening to you. Those things are gotten in God’s presence. Because anytime we are in His presence like that and it’s so thick, healing takes place, deliverance and for the future, certain things are put in place, structured, things that were out of place, God begins to arrange them. When you are worshiping Him, He begins to get busy on your behalf. So never ever get tired of worship. Glory to God!
Steps to answered prayers
Define or decide what you really want. Many people come to church and when it’s time for prayer, they just drift. They do a general prayer, but for anything to be dynamic it has to be specific. Articulate your desire.
When I got born-again, because of the kind of setting we got born-again in, we use to get scared of asking God for things because it looks like, all those things are from the “Queen of the Coast”, you know, those beautiful cars in those days, people use to say they are from the “Queen of the Coast”. We assumed any beautiful things were from the devil. So then, we had problems asking God for things because of this funny believes behind our minds that; what if God doesn’t want me to have it. Somehow, people are always scared of asking God for things.
And yet in scriptures; Mark 11: 24 “I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours”
So don’t be afraid to ask God that I want to be great. I want to be a blessing to my family. Don’t be afraid to articulate. Look God is a sea that never dries up!
For some of us, we go to that river with one small spoon and what you can carry there is what you get. How many buckets of water will you take from the ocean and that it will dry up?
Enlarge your hearts; what things so ever you desire. Because, there are some things you’ve already attained, it’s time to expand your desire.
Matthew 7:7
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door, will be opened. You parents- if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him?”
Good things! There is nothing wrong with asking God that I want to be great! There’s nothing wrong with asking God that I want to be the best in my field. I want to be a succor for the poor. Enlarge your heart, don’t be asking God for little things. Ask God for things that will help your future, because the future is close, so define what you want, even if it is food, the scripture covers it!
As for me, I need a higher level of wisdom; I have operated in God’s wisdom to a level. But Lord I want a higher level, if you can do it for Solomon; you can do it for me. For someone else, it’s direction concerning marriage partner. This is important, because who you marry matters, when it comes to greatness, because when you look at Abraham, God was specific about Sarah. In fact he tried to get a child from the other woman- Haggai, but God said, no “In Sarah shall your seed be” God changed his name and God also changed Sarai name, so it is important.
When you are trusting God for greatness, be careful who you marry so for those not yet married, why not pray specifically; guide me o Lord!
Because it is better to be unmarried than to marry the wrong person. Jesus did not marry o! Neither did Paul marry. It is better because marriage covenant is deep, so why not pray that God should guide your steps before you carry a weight that is bigger than you.
