VIDEO: Drama in Court As Armed DSS Tries To Rearrest Sowore
The drama started shortly after Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu adjourned the trial continuation of Omoyele Sowore and co-defendant, Olawale Bakare, both arraigned for treasonable felony and cyber-stalking brought against them by the government.
By an agreement between the Mr. Femi Falana-led defence team and the Liman Hassan-led prosecution team, the matter was adjourned till February 11 for the commencement of trial.
But shortly after the court clerk called the next case and people started leaving the courtrooms, DSS operatives numbering about 15 started making some moves towards Sowore and Bakare.

Staff of the court took to their heels, and the judge was forced to immediately suspend sitting and receded to her chambers.
Sowore, while speaking with the newsmen, said the ploy of the security agency was to kill him.
He said their action had shown that they had no respect for the law, the court and the citizens.
The DSS had released the two men on Thursday, hours after Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, ordered the the agency to release them within 24 hours in line with the bail granted them by the court.
Ojukwu, who gave the order, also awarded a N100,000 fine against the DSS over its delay to serve the defence counsel with the additional proof of evidence in the ongoing trial despite the court’s order to the effect.
The DSS had, on Thursday, complied with the court order by releasing the defendants and also paid the fine.
