Coronavirus: Nigeria Senate Suspends Public Hearings Indefinitely
The Senate, on Thursday, announced suspension of all public hearings indefinitely.
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, made the announcement after the Red Chamber emerged from about two-hour closed door session.
It also shut its gallery to visitors with effect from March 24, 2020.
As a result of the closure, the scheduled excursion by students who visited the Red Chamber to observe its proceedings has been suspended.
The partial closure was part of measures avoid the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
