NIGERIA @ 60: 60 Most Impactful Nigerians To Be Honored in Ghana

In commemoration of Nigeria's 60th Independence Anniversary on 1st October 2020, the most consistent pro Nigerian Group in Ghana , RNIGO would be honouring 60 Nigerians who are impacting the lives of people in several ways on Friday 2nd October, 2020 in Accra.
Nigeria as a country gained independence from the British precisely on 1st October 1960 after so many years of colonization. Even though many believes that Nigeria as the biggest economy in Africa is yet to reach its peak in human capital Development , infrastructural expansion , Educational evolution and other factors that boost Economic growth ,organizers think it is right to appreciate the efforts of these great Nigerians doing amazing things in Ghana , the most peaceful country in Africa .
Speaking to our correspondents, Comrade Barry Ndu Nwaihim the Host of this unique event explained that there are a lot of Nigerians who are positively working hard to project the good image of the country in Ghana. He noted that these people are spread across all facets of life and its in order to celebrate them as Nigeria marks its 60th Independence anniversary on 1st October, 2020.
Comrade Barry Ndu noted that Nigeria may not have reached its full potentials considering how many years it got independence but their group believes that if the culture of Discipline , anti corruption tendencies , dedication to duty and sacrifice in upholding the dreams of our fore fathers are upheld we may start getting it right in the nearest future. He urged members of the public to send in the profile of Nominees doing amazing things to the Email – impactfulnigerians@gmail.com. He asked for support from well meaning individuals and companies as they continue to do things that positively project the good image of Nigeria in Diaspora.
The Secretary of the planning committee, Barr. Ivy Ene Mark noted that most times people tend to see only the bad side of Nigerians but this event would offer an opportunity to showcase these 60 people to the world while urging those who may not be nominated this year to keep working hard as their efforts are appreciated.
This Award ceremony is expected to be colorful with the rich display of various traditional Nigerian food, music and dance troupes.
While hoping that the effect of the novel coronavirus would have become less intense by then, Organizers request the support of all to ensure a successful event . They hope to collaborate with the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana and other relevant organizations.
Furthermore, Award recipients would be inducted into the Impacful Nigerians in Ghana Hall of Fame and also have their names immortalized at the Youth Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition Center (YESAC) being set up by Organizers to provide skills for the teeming unemployed young people across the African continent.The Nigerian Achievers Magazine would also be launched on the day.
Nominations opened on Friday 12th June,2020 (12 pm) and would close on Saturday 12th September, 2020 (12 midnight).
