God's Warning About False Prophets

"I have not sent these prophets, yet they run around claiming to speak
for me. I have given them no message, yet they go on prophesying. If
they had stood before me and listened to me, they would have turned my
people from their evil ways and deeds" Jeremiah 23: 21-22
This is true, many prophets predicts about things that are not relevant to their own countries or society. In the old, the prophets of the Old Testament particularly when there is a terrible situation in the country like the issue of Boko Haram threats that Nigeria is facing today. The people run back to the prophet, who in turn goes to God for answer. But our prophets today don?t see anything other than money, and prosperity!

I am telling you the truth, many of these fake pastors and liars will b
exposed this year. God will expose their false prophesies because they
will prophesy and get into trouble just like many God did not send in
the bible got into trouble.
Jeremiah 23: 23-29 says, "Am I a God who is only close at hand 'No I am far away at the same time. Can anyone hide from me a secret place' Am I not everywhere in all heavens and earth" Says the Lord.
"Let these false prophets tell their dreams, but let my true messengers faithfully proclaim my every word. There is a difference between straw and grain!

So if you are doing good and preaching the true word of God without
mixing it fake prophesies and obeying everything God has said, God says
that there is a difference between you and the fake prophets. A straw is
like the waste of the harvested grain. And God is comparing you to the
grain while the fake pastor or false prophet is likened to the straw.
"Therefore", says the Lord, "I am against these prophets who steal
messages from each other and claim they are from me. I am against these
smooth-tongued prophets who say, 'This prophecy is from the Lord!' I am
against these false prophets.
"Their imaginary dreams are flagrant lies that lead my people to sin. I did not send or appoint them, and they have no message at all for my people. I, the Lord have spoken! Jeremiah 23: 30-32
