For Facebook Admins: Your Account Can Be Easily Hacked!

This Number is a scam number, they use it to defraud people on Whatsapp, claiming to be Forex teachers-  +2349035015475, 09021403741- Lucky Ohiorenuan

 

So finally I have been hacked! Yes, I'm shocked. In spite of everything I thought I know about Facebook and internet security, someone successfully hacked my Facebook account.

This is how it all started; I saw on friend's Facebook page..."How to Reduce Belle Fat, drop you Whatsapp Number to be added to group"

I didn't see this any issue, since I felt if at all I was going to be hacked, it would be an attempt on my Whatsapp and not my Facebook. For one fact, my Whatsapp is secure, I had my "Two-step verification" and password for all my Whatsapp account. Also my Facebook is secure( at least so I thought), because I use Authenticator, such that each time my Facebook account is logged from any device, I am first sent verification codes to my registered phone number(which was the same number I dropped on that Facebook post-  "How to Reduce Belle Fat, drop you Whatsapp Number to be added to group")

I think this must have been where I missed it!

A day after I put my phone number, I received a phone call from a registered true caller number, identified by true caller as Joy (+2349035015475), now this is the scammer's number- +2349035015475, I was not on seat when the call came in and so I returned the call, not knowing I was putting myself in the hands of fraudsters. 

I was first surprised to hear a male voice, but I felt it doesn't matter as long as it was business, it could be a business line. The person asked if I received a code and I said no, he said the code is what would be used to register me on the Whatsapp group as they already have limited number of people on the group. At that moment I lost interest already, and so I just told him I didn't see any code and he said if I should see it, I should call back on time.

I didn't call back neither sent any message, though I saw a code from another number- 09021403741, this one is registered as Lucky Ohiorenuan.

All these happened on Tuesday, 27th October 2020 at around 3:24pm. And that was all.

Then yesterday night at around 10:27pm, I received a chat from a contact who is also on my Facebook

I was confused, I wasn't on Facebook for a while, I was not chatting with anyone and so I was really confused. See more...

At this point I knew my account had been hacked, I could see that whoever it was, was using my Facebook account to chat and trying to scam people

Now, I became very scared, so my account has been hacked, impossible! How did I become so careless? I know several attempts had been made at hijacking my Facebook at several times, but I always saw it and blocked it, this one is so shocking....

And so my contact sent me more of the chats, by I was no longer sure what to do, because other contacts were also contacting me via Whatsapp and phone call, in fact the hijacker also chatted me with my own Facebook account on my other Facebook

So now I knew my account has been hijacked! What will I do? I tried logging into the account but all login information had been changed. I looked for different options to report the hijacker, and see how I could recover the account, but all to no avail. All options provided by Facebook were fully used but they could not recover the account for me

My major worry is for people not to get scammed, and also for my business account page not to be hijacked! Not like I don't have another Facebook account to use. I was awake all night trying to see all I could to ensure people are not scammed and that my page account is not also hijacked, since there was nothing I could do to secure the account, nor Facebook was able to do anything to help me.

I called the scammer with his number- +2349035015475 and asked why he chose to hijack my account and he said "Because I didn't have brain" So sad! I didn't have brain, and yet he chose to hijack the account I built with my sweat to defraud people, and I don't have brain.

So I checked his Whatsapp and this is the photo on it, ofcourse it is obvious that the photo is also stolen;

Be careful of them so that you don't get scammed. They are thieves, they are worse than kidnappers and armed robbers, they steal from you without your knowledge, they are very dangerous. 

In fact I'm beginning to think its either better not to use Facebook at all, or add and make friends with only people you know in real life, there are so many dangerous hackers and hijackers out there, trying to reap where they did not sow.
