NDLEA Arrests Algeria-Bound Trafficker With N1BN Cocaine Hidden in Yogurt (Photo)

He was apprehended while trying to cross to Algeria through Niger Republic with 62 wraps of substance suspected to be cocaine weighing 1.550kg and with an estimated street value of about N1bn.
The Sokoto State acting Commander of the NDLEA, Bamidele Segun, according to a statement by the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, on Sunday, stated that the suspect was intercepted on a motorcycle around the Baggage area of the Illela border while trying to cross to Niger Republic, en route Algeria, where he resides.
The NDLEA said the illicit drug was neatly concealed inside bottles of yoghurt.
“He was found with an ECOWAS passport with different names written as Auwalu Audu, but he gave his real name as Nkem Timothy,” the commander stated.
He said his men had commenced investigation to unravel Timothy’s sponsor(s) and other members of the trans-border drug cartel.
“This is a groundbreaking feat for us in the command as a seizure of this magnitude of type ‘A’ drug has never been made in Sokoto Command before,” Segun added.
The sad thing is that he is just one person out of many doing this illicit drug biz that has sent many to their early graves, some are lunatics, some are bankrupt etc...... Thus, I will applaud NDLEA any day they parade and successfully convict one or two drug barons irrespective of who they are or know in govt, because a lot of govt officials and politicians secretly work with these traffickers.........
ReplyDeleteDrug trafficking is a very lucrative business and those involved are mafias...they know top people in govt, and are capable of eliminating anyone who stands in their way, that's how sophisticated that sector is.... These guys they catch are just errand boys / girls, the big boys are untouchable and govt is well aware........some of them sponsor politicians, some of them also bless our "Nig celebrity pastors" with dollars and pounds and they receive powerful prayers......But, what I doubt is if God endorses such abominable prayers or Lulifer does...... ��
Thanks! Sometimes I wonder about some of these prayers, a pastor who is severally accused of adultery, one of the sins mentioned in the bible severally, but he is still very very rich-how? So God still loves him more than that innocent poor man who doesn't have a single kobo, nor means of surviving just a day.
