Alec Baldwin Spotted With His Family Following Tragic Rust Shooting
Category: Entertainment News
Alec Baldwin was pictured in Vermont with his wife Hilaria and his children
following the heartbreaking shooting on the Rust film set.
Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was accidentally shot dead on set by the actor, who was using a prop gun.
Director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident.
Following the tragedy, Baldwin has been keeping a low profile in the small town of Manchester in Vermont.
The actor, 63, and his family – along with the kids’ nanny – were collecting take-out food from a pizza shop in the town centre.
He seemed sullen as he kept his head down as he held onto the bags of food.
The star has reportedly been taking time off work following the heartbreaking incident.
Court documents had revealed Baldwin didn’t know he had been handed a loaded weapon.
Film director Souza, 48, was also hospitalized after being hit by a bullet in his clavicle but has since been released, his reps confirmed.
Baldwin was said to be “hysterical and absolutely inconsolable for hours” following the tragic accident.
The actor is now taking some time to “re-centre himself”, as he has during difficult times in the past.
A source told PEOPLE magazine: “This was pretty devastating. This is how he handles difficult times. Whenever something bad happens, in the short term, he removes himself from the public eye.
