Family of Four Found Dead in A Five-Star Hotel An Hour After Checking In

A family of four found dead in the sauna of a 5 star hotel just one hour after checking in have been pictured for the first time.

The family had been on holiday in Albania and were meant to stay at the luxury Gloria Palace Hotel for a week.

Sergey Burenkov, 60, and wife Natalya Burenkova, 58, from Moscow, Russia were on holiday with their daughter Katya, 31, and her partner Nikita Belousov, 37 when they were found dead on Friday.

Katya and her parents were well-traveled, and photos show they had visited many different cities around the world.

The family had headed to the sauna soon after checking in, where they tragically perished from asphyxiation.

They had ordered drinks and food to the sauna complex but were dead before they received it.

Their bodies were found by a member of staff who came to deliver the food.

The police are now investigating the circumstances around their mysterious death.

Speaking to the Albanian media, the hotel employee who found the family said: “I shouted several times that the drinks and the fruit were ready.

“No-one answered, so I walked inside the sauna and saw them all.

“One person was lying on a sun bed, two were on the (sauna) benches.

“The last one was sitting down with his legs in the pool. They have all suffocated.”

The Russian embassy in Tirana is probing the cause of death.
