Five Killed, Others Injured In Unilorin Auto Crash

Five people were reportedly killed after two vehicles collided within the
campus of the University of Ilorin late Monday.
According to reports, a Lexus car and a commercial bus collided at about 11pm leading to the death of the occupants.
It was also disclosed that the owner of the commercial bus, wife child died while three other people including the driver of the Lexus car died on the spot.
An eye witness was quoted to have said;
“We noticed that many people going into the campus from the Tanke area were stranded this morning and when we questioned, we were told that there was a terrible accident in the campus.
When we got there, the vehicles already that only few could have made it alive.”
A staff of the university was also quoted to have said;

“Many of the students with those cars have no regards for traffic rules and speed limits. In spite of the speed breakers constructed by the university, you would still see them driving recklessly on the road. Just yesterday, a student’s car somersaulted near one of the hostels and fellow students had to help him carry it up again. It is that bad.”
