Late Hanifa Abubakar's School Set on Fire By Angry Youths

The youths burnt down the school – Noble Kids Academy, Kawaji, Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State days after the proprietor confessed to killing her.

Hanifa, a five-year-old pupil was abducted and killed by the proprietor of the school. She was also a student of the school.

The Kano government had shut down the school indefinitely and directed parents to enroll their children in other schools.

However in the wee hours of Monday, aggrieved youths stormed the school and set it on fire.

Police spokesperson in Kano, Abbdullahi Kiyawa, said no arrest had been made in connection with the arson attack on the school.

He said there was no casualty in the incident, but parts of the school’s building were razed.
