Man Sentenced After He Drugged, Blindfolded N*ked Wife, Invited Colleague To R*pe Her
Category: Crime News
A man has been sentenced to three years in prison after attempting to r*pe his
colleague’s wife – having been invited to do so by the woman’s husband.
The harrowing story was told at Singapore Supreme Court this week.
None of the people involved in the case have been named, due to the nature of the crimes committed.
In 2017, the 47-year-old accepted the invitation of his work colleague to go to his home and “r*pe his unconscious wife”, Channel News Asia reports.
The pair had become close having worked together for a number of years.
She had been given drugs and alcohol, and the husband was watching while the man attempted to molest the woman.
And, horrifyingly, the woman’s three children and domestic helper were asleep in another room.
However, the would-be rapist was stopped by his own body – as his erectile dysfunction made it impossible for him to complete the crime.
The woman regained consciousness during the ordeal, removed a blindfold she was wearing and quickly realized what was happened.
The man fled the scene.
He pleaded guilty to one charge of abatement of conspiracy to commit r*pe, where the r*pe did not occur, and a second charge of outrage of modesty.
The woman did, however, gain a modicum of revenge, having demanded that her husband and his colleague write confession letters – which they did.
In the letter, the colleague admitted what had happened, including his embarrassing issue.
He was later tested for, and found to have suffered from, erectile dysfunction.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Chee Ee Ling asked for between two and three-and-a-half years’ jail term for her client, who had, in July 2018, served a 12 week sentenced for the sale of obscene books, insulting modesty, and possessing uncensored and obscene films.
There are another six men involved in the “wife-sharing” scheme, who will be appearing in court next month.
Four are thought to be pleading guilty, one is undecided, while the final male is allegedly going to plead not guilty, local news reports state.
