Sowore Blasts Ned Nwoko, Nigeria Police Over Arrest of Jaruma
Category: Nigeria News
RevolutionNow convener,
Omoyele Sowore, has reacted to the ongoing face-off between billionaire Ned Nwoko and
aphrodisiac seller, Hauwa Saidu Mohammed, otherwise known as Jaruma.
Sowore accused Nwoko of using the police to oppress innocent Nigerians.
He lamented that the police allows its operatives to be deployed as mercenaries for use against ordinary Nigerians.
In a post on his verified Facebook page, the activist wrote:
“#FreeJaruma: It is disheartening that Nigeria Police Force continues to deploy itself to despicable VIP mercenary activities.
“This so-called Billionaire, Ned Nwoko has done so much damage to lots of innocent citizens in his community with the aid of the Nigeria police. Jaruma is his latest victim. This culture cannot stand! #RevolutionNow #WeCantContinueLikeThis.”
Jaruma had been at words of war with her former friend, Regina Daniels over a contract the former did not fulfill, which she claimed to have paid her N10 million, for her to promote her product.
Somehow in the cause of the 'trade of words'. Regina's husband, billionaire, Ned Nwoko was dragged in and the police was involved in the matter.
Jaruma was later arrested on the instruction of the couple after they had written a petition against her. The police had charged her to court and she was remanded in Suleja prison.
