A Lagos-Ibadan-bound train has crushed a deaf woman in Itoki, Ogun State.
A Twitter user, @ojozacheus247, disclosed this in a tweet on Wednesday evening, posting pictures of her dismembered body.
The tweep wrote, “The deaf woman was killed by the fed govt train at Itoki, Ogun state this evening. The most painful part of dis story is that she was looking for who & how to help her baby.
She has a small paper with her, written on it was her request.”
The paper held by the deceased reads, “REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE FOR MY BABY. Please, I need your assistance in your own little way. I didn’t have money and I am deaf, but I want my children to go to school to secure a brighter future. I don’t have a job please assist me in sustaining me and my family. MAY ALLAH HELP YOU AS YOU HELP US THANKS AND GOD BLESS YOU.”
The Lagos District Manager of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Engr. Jerry Oche confirmed this sad incident, stating that the body would be evacuated by the NRC and deposited at a state mortuary.
