Three Arrested For Allegedly Parading Themselves As Medical Practitioners

Three persons have been arrested at Andoni Local Government Council in Rivers
State for allegedly falsely parading themselves as medical practitioners.
The suspects, two males posing as doctors and a female posing as a Nurse were arrested in Asarama community of Andoni based on a tip-off from Head of Medical Personnel in the Local Government.
The suspects were identified as Gift Harvest who claim to be an auxiliary nurse, Dr. Patrick Effiong and Williams Biranwi who claim to be medical personnel.
Andoni Council Chairman, Erastus Awortu who confirmed the development said the suspects were on illegal medical mission to the local government without proof of qualifications.
He said the suspects who are quacks had even performed surgeries on some unsuspecting victims before they were caught.
While condemning the act, Awortu said the suspects have been handed over to the police for further investigation with a view to uncovering their true intention.
