DCP Abba Kyari Linked With Disappearance of Three Detainees (Video)

More revelations have come into limelight on the embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr Abba Kyari has yet again been fingered in an allegation over the disappearance of of three persons leveled against his former police unit.
According to the report, the three missing persons- Danjuma Yakubu, Ibrahim Daniel, and Choji Dong were arrested in 2019 by the operatives of the IGP-IRT, lead by Abba Kyari.
The independent investigation panel on Human Rights Violation by the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS) and other units of the Nigeria Police Force sitting in Abuja ordered the NDLEA to produce Abba Kyari before the panel on March 22.
Family members who petitioned the panel over the alleged disappearance of the three men, said they had not seen the victims since their arrest by the IGP-IRT in Adamawa, Gombe and Plateau states in December 2019.
The panel had on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 ordered the police to produce the three me on Friday, March 11, 2022.
At last Friday hearing, the police lawyer James Idachaba told the panel that he has not been able to get the details of their whereabouts.
He said he was at the FCID to track their records when DIG Joseph Egbunike died. So he could not get any information.
He said his colleague who is also working on the case had checked IRT's previous detention facilities and could not find any of the three detained persons.
On that basis, the panel ordered the Chairman of NDLEA in whose custody Mr Kyari is, to produce him on March 22.
