Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Layrov has said that World War III would be 'nuclear and destructive'.

This is coming after the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed concern that Russian attacks could threaten holy religious sites and said Russian troops are trying to "erase our history".

President Zelenskyy on Wednesday posted on his Facebook page, a statement denouncing a Russian strike that hit Holocaust memorial site Babi Yar in Kyiv.

He said, “This is beyond humanity. Such missile strike means that for many Russians our Kyiv is absolute foreign. They know nothing about our capital, about our history. They have orders to erase our history, our country and all of us,”

He asked, “What will be next if even Babi Yar (is hit), what other military' objects, NATO bases' are threatening Russia? St Sophia's Cathedral, Lavra, Andrew's Church?”, referring to sites in Kyiv held sacred by Ukrainian and Russian Orthodox believers around the world.

Also a mayor of the Ukrainian city, Konotop, claimed that the Russians have delivered an ultimatum - either he surrenders the city to them, or they will completely destroy it.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed on Wednesday that almost 6,000 Russians have been killed in six days of war.

The Ukraine's Ambassador to US, Oksana Markrova hinted that that Ukraine is running out of Stinger anti-aircraft missiles and Javelin anti-tank missile.

Oksana said,“We work actively with the administration, the president, and also with Congress on getting more weapons, so we need more weapons,".

Washington has reportedly agreed to send more supplies.
