Ex-LGA Chairman Dies In Road Accident

A former local government chairman in Oyo State, Wasiu Owolabi is dead.
It was gathered that Owolabi served as Chairman of the Atisbo Local Government Area until May 2019.
He was among the Chairmen who were sacked by Governor Seyi Makinde.
He died on Monday.
Owolabi had earlier served as secretary in the local government area before he assumed the office as Chairman.
The news of his death was announced by one of his siblings, Nafiu Owolabi on Tuesday.
He said that his brother died at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital around 9 pm on Monday.
He said that the deceased died as a result of a road accident he had along the Shaki/ Ilorin road.
Owolabi added that the deceased was on his way to Al-Ikmah University where he was pursuing an academic programme.
He added that his brother would be buried at his residence located at Irawo Owode.
The burial according to him would take place at 4 pm today
